Founded and designed by the Rouse Company in the 1970’s, Columbia was built on a key principle that all faith traditions should share space and work together, and so five interfaith centers were created in the new town. Within an interfaith center, each congregation retains those elements that distinguish it from any other, we are here to love and serve our neighbors and broader community, engaging in interfaith dialog, etc.
Wilde Lake Interfaith Center is shared by two congregations: St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic and St. John United Methodist/Presbyterian (USA). Located at 10431 Twin Rivers Road, Columbia MD 21044, the center is adjacent to the Wilde Lake Village Center and use across the street from Wilde Lake High School. Our meeting and event space with the broader community at modest fees when not in use by the resident congregations
